The team confirmed Thursday that Mistral AI will collaborate on “performance-driven projects designed to enhance decision-making and create competitive advantage.

While financial details were not disclosed, branding from the Paris-based AI company will appear on team jerseys and vehicles.

The announcement comes as Visma continues its search for a new long-term title sponsor, though officials clarified the AI deal is separate from that process.

Visma has already established itself as one of the peloton’s most data-focused operations. The team runs a dedicated data center that monitors races in real time, tracking speed, weather conditions, course details, race dynamics, and general classification shifts.

A mobile version of its monitoring system was banned by the UCI in 2024, but the team continues operating from a fixed service-course location.

Across professional cycling, teams are increasingly deploying AI for aerodynamics, talent identification, nutrition tracking, power analysis, and race modeling.
